Sea Bird's Nest (Funori) Drink
It can be used to make a simple drink like the bird's nest drink or add some sterculia seeds/mollow seeds (bruised, soaked in hot water until the flesh has expanded into a loose, jelly like mass, skin peel off and discard ) to it. As it is rather tasteless, I add pandan leaves or sterculia seeds to give it some flavour. Red dates and dried wolfberries can be added, if preferred. I find that it has a “fishy” smell, therefore the amount of funori used is 25g for this recipes. Add more if desired.
There are many ways to eat this, you can add to any hot soup, red bean/cheng tng/sweet potatoes /red ruby/chendol dessert, agar-agar, soymilk, soymilk shake and so on. Tracy Juice Culture sells dessert which had funori.

材料:珊瑚草、芹菜、大黄瓜、青椒、苦瓜、苹果、果糖适量。
作法:将所有材料洗净处理过,切成适量大小,放入果汁机中加适量冷开水打成汁,然后用麦芽果糖调味。
*珊瑚草胡马汁(调整体质、养颜美容)
材料:胡萝卜、马铃薯、苹果、珊瑚草。
作法:将胡萝卜、马铃薯切成适当大小,以榨汁机榨出原汁后,将原汁与珊瑚草、苹果加入果汁机搅拌后即可饮用。

材料:珊瑚草100克、黑糯米100克、龙眼干100克、红枣、莲子、冰糖适量。
作法:黑糯米洗净,珊瑚草切细,锅中倒入适量的水煮开,加入黑糯米用小火煮约30分钟,再加入红枣、莲子煮约20分钟,最后加入珊瑚草、龙眼干、冰糖煮约10分钟即可,食用时加少许椰奶、炼乳或冰凉后更佳。
*生菜凉拌珊瑚草(美式)
材料:珊瑚草200克、紫高丽菜1/4颗、莴苣1小颗、夏威夷豆(压碎)1汤匙、蔓越梅干1汤匙、小麦胚芽1汤匙、火腿丁1汤匙、苜蓿芽少许、红醋2汤匙、枫糖2汤匙、葡萄籽油适量、生菜、凉面浆一碟。
